Characters are automatically created while writing dialog. You can manually add new characters who do not have dialog or that have not yet been written into the script. Note that characters created while writing will be automatically removed if their dialog is removed (i.e. when a typo is fixed). You can also delete a mistyped character on this page and assign all of their dialog to the correct character record.
The table displays a current log of the number of scenes the character appears in, the number of lines they speak, and a rough estimate of the amount of screen time. This is calculated based on the first time they speak or are directly referenced by name in the action (i.e. “Kevin walks in.”).
